Nominator's project description
| Professor Darko Zibar is well known internationally for his outstanding work introducing information theoretical methods into the fields of photonics and fiber optics. He has pioneered the application of machine learning to optical communication and measurement systems, paving the way to a new transformative generation of green and intelligent fiber-optic networks able to satisfy future data capacity requirements. During his stay in Germany, he intends to focus on quantum-noise limited sensing using already installed fibre infrastructure. |
